I love writing, but publishing is even more amazing. Knowing that the boos will be available. And that I try to keep the prices reasonable. Yeah!
I'm counting the days, and the hours. This is part of the most exciting release!

The proofs are here! and on the whole I love em...
it's amazing to open the cover and see my words on a printed page. I don't think I'll ever get over the thrill...at least I hope I don't. I always want to have that "My God and Goddess, I did that!" feeling. It just makes my day! The middle of September already? damn near! just three more days... have set up Ghost on Create Space, ordered proofs... and have everything set to go for Oct 1st publication on Amazon!
I love when things go my way. And I love when life gives me something to celebrate. So that's one book down, one to go and I've got my Nano all set to go come November 1st. I wish I was as good as Syd when it comes to making book covers! Everyone has their special place. For me, it's Bristol Faire. I've made friends and become part of the Faire family. Entertainers recognize me, and know they can play off of me. And it's wonderful to be serenaded by a Minstrel. Faire refreshes my spirit, gives me hope, and helps me to center.
This year because of health issues I wasn't able to make as many trips up to Faire as I'd have liked. I made one... and I thank God and Goddess for the one, because it was such a blessing! I thank Brian, my son for going up with me and keeping me from wandering off... yeah I lose it up there. I get all caught up in the wonder of it all... Faire is the place where I'm not anyone's wife... or caretaker... it's where I get to be me... I recharge, get ideas, and breathe in enough dust to make it through the year. I do more walking at faire than I do anywhere else. Even with the weather being milder than it's been, I kept to shady lanes, and took my time. I got to see Moonie, and laughed as if my soul were light as a feather. I cheered the English Queen, was greeted by friends, and hugged by several of my favorite shop keepers! And so the end of Bristol season is upon us, and I have my memories to keep me through the year. May you have a blessed and safe Labor Day holiday! |
