I'm not really good at the tracking, yet. But I'm learning.
Brian helped me read my excel chart. (I still don't really get it)
This is the part of being a self published author that's not really fun. I like the creative stuff, I even like the advertising... (but I'm not very good at that either, yet.) Tracking sales on Kindle is sometimes difficult.
Take Close to you, it's not a fantasy per say. It's a more a romantic memory. And because it's a personal story, I'm sort of protective and defensive about it.
So much of it was taken from my life. When it didn't sell as well as I thought it would, I was a little shattered. (a rejection letter from publishers is easier to take!)
But then suddenly, a couple of copies sold this weekend.
And my hopes are renewed.
I love my fantasy stories. I love working in that world, but it's not the only thing I want to write. (I don't do Si-fi because I'm not good at the science.) I've mysteries in me, and love stories, and so much more!
So as I take this amazing journey, I'm learning that I need to be patient. If something doesn't catch on at first, that doesn't mean that it wasn't good. I just have to learn to wait, and let the audience find it.
