I'm not one of them.
I do what I can, but I'm not really good at creating my own covers, nor am a marketing genius. I have to rely on others for help.
I created a cover for my new series, it sucked... straight up it sucked. My partner in crime Sydney listened to what I was trying to do, gave me a clearer vision, and I now have a much better cover.
I was in over my head in marketing, and Sydney again came up with a great suggestion.
When you're self publishing, you are your marketing firm, you are your cover artist (unless you can afford one) and you are the team.
But if you're lucky, you've got someone you can network with. Bounce ideas off, and who will keep you grounded.
For me, that's Sydney Blackwell.
