I've found a great by on some rubbermaid containers, and will be purging out the old containers. I do this once every two years or so. I mean that stuff doesn't last like glass does! I have a nice bit of glass containers as well, mostly for pop in the micro for John meals.
The tree is done, the packages were wrapped weeks ago, and are now under the tree. The dinning table will be set today, for tomorrow's family meal. And the house smells like the scented candle that is sitting on a side table in the living room.
I often wonder where that came from... living room... also called the Front room, or the parlor. I don't know why it's called living room, not much living goes on in there anymore.
We've had unusual weather, no snow, lots of rain and temps up in the 60's....hardly conducive to holiday thinking here in the MidWest.
but we take what we are given. My son, being the decent sort that he is, took me out to see the other houses decorated. Its something I look forward to every year. We stop for chocolate coffee, this year was White chocolate mocha, and then we slowly meander looking at the pretty decorations, and counting Crèches. In two hours of meandering we spotted only 16...
While the decorations are very pretty, without snow they seem to lack a bit.
I've been working on my publishing of my novels. Doing a bit of advertising, and letting folks on other sites know I'm now published. And lining up the ducks for the next year. I'll have both novels that finish the Forged Series, a lovely Ghost story, and a young romance. I will also start work on two other manuscripts that need editing. And if all goes well they too will be released.
And I'm very happy, I'm doing well... someday it will be even better. I count the blessings given all year long.
And there have been many, but the biggest blessings have been the support of family and friends as I enter this new segment of my life. It's been a very good year!
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, a Blessed Yule and a joyous holiday.
